DOWN TO THE ESSENCE, MINIMALISTIC, PERSONAL & CONTEMPORARY
Patrick Beyaert is an industrial designer and a graduate from the Design Academy Eindhoven. The studio (PBDS) is an ideas driven practice which sees design as a platform to play around in all disciplines of creativity. It offers products, interiors, concepts and strategies in order to fulfil your needs ranging from strenght and maturity to a playful youthfulness. Each project fuses craft and innovation and is the result of meticulous professionalism and eye for detail, actualized from a dreamful playground. Good design to him is when an idea, concept, object or space is stripped down to its essence, supported by a minimalistic, personal & contemporary formlanguage.
“A designer knows he has achieved perfection, not when there is nothing left to add, but when there’s nothing left to take away.”
“Form follows function – that has been misunderstood. Form and function should be one, joined in a spiritual union.“
“Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.”
